・From blueprints to catalogs
The parts used in automation equipment and devices often require customization. Conventionally, ordering these parts generally required blueprint for each part, and it takes two to four weeks for processing. MISUMI Group has utilized proprietary ways to integrate specially ordered parts specifiable to micron-level into the catalogs. Shipment of 80 sextillion (1 trillion times 80 billion) variations of parts in 2 days as standard, has achieved a dramatic reduction in lead time.
・New digital service
"meviy" is a new service that could instantly provide quotations and realize the shortest lead time of same-day shipping through the simple uploading of 3D-CAD data designed by customers. Time required to procure parts have been reduced by over 90%, contributing to customers’ labor productivity reform. The digitalization of the entire procurement process also contributes to the environment, such as, eliminating the need of paper blueprints.
