MISUMI has enhanced its benefits programs to support employees who continue to take on challenges with a positive attitude, so they can feel refreshed and enjoy change of pace. For example, we have introduced measures to encourage employees to spend quality time with their family and colleagues on holidays, as well as catering for in-house massage facility that support improving work efficiency through recovery from fatigue.
From April 2018, a “cafeteria” was opened at the Iidabashi Head Office building with the concept of “connecting” and “energizing”.
In addition to providing an environment where one can easily talk with superiors or colleagues, it’s intended to lead to revitalization of communication, as well as providing nutritionally balanced meals supporting employees’ health,
wishing that everybody can work in a condition of good health.
Once a month, one can receive a 40-minute massage + 10-minute consultation for 500 yen. Many employees use it, and such comments have been received- “in-house massages are great as it enables one to get treatment in-between work-related tasks”, "massage relieves fatigue making one feel that they can go the extra mile”.
Contract is in place with a recreational facility provider called Laforet Club. It owns and manages hotels in 13 locations, as well as partnering with approximately 70 hotels nationwide. In addition to corporate membership pricing, corporate subsidies are also provided. Many employees use it when traveling with their family and colleagues, with feedback such as "reasonable pricing" and "delicious food", as characterized by the fact that there are many repeaters.
Some group companies of MISUMI have introduced a system that recommends and supports share ownership of MISUMI Group Inc. as part of asset formation.

MISUMI has implemented a retirement allowance system in each group company, based on local labor legislation and social environment. In addition, some companies have introduced a Defined Contribution Pension Plan that allows receipt of pension payments to guarantee their lives after retirement and working to design and operate a system that will be attractive to employees.
